‏La déduction injustifiée de la caution a gâché mes vacances, rendant le début de 2024 très désagréable pour moi. Nous avions déjà payé 100 euros pour la propreté de la maison, mais ils ont déduit de notre caution en raison de l'état du jacuzzi. Si vous recherchez la tranquillité d'esprit, je ne recommande vraiment pas cet endroit.

J’y ai passé un séjour merveilleux avec mes parents et grand-parents ! Les hôtes, Alice et Éric ont pris soin de nous durant tout notre séjour ! Les lits sont d’un confort qui me laisse sans voix, le petit-déjeuner des Doux Ragots est extraordinaire ! Nous avons eu la chance d’avoir eu un beau grand soleil qui nous a permis d’aller nous balader quelques kilomètres avec les vélos mis à disposition GRATUITEMENT ainsi que sortir manger une glace dans le centre-ville de Spa. Je recommande à 10.000% Potter’s Place et je viens de réserver mon séjour à Onsen Place ! youhouuuu trop hâte

Dear travelers, took me a while to write this review because it brings a lot of negative energy when i think about this holiday. We visited in October 2024 for 5 days. After check in we started to notice notes hanging on the walls (A4 paper) mentioning the expected behavior and the fine if you do not meet the conditions. Also there are video camera's inside (in the living room, hallways) and outside (also pointed to the jacuzzi!).This is very surprising at arrival and very stressful during your stay. We booked directly with Ardenne's places meaning we got to read the contract only at arrival! It is completely unpleasant to walk around and face video camera's, rules and fines on the walls. We somehow hoped that they were not ON. We have been received by Alice (the owner) which makes you feel very unwelcome from the start! My son (11 years old) asked if he can touch Harry Potter's owl. Reply towards my son: you break you pay with a very severe voice. During our stay we wanted of course to watch Harry Potter and the Dvd didn't work so I asked Alice via sms for guidance. See the pictures (the conversation) to understand that this person is not suitable for this business. I have send her a picture with the TV screen and at the same time we were preparing for diner so the table was covered with plates, cutlery, etc. and Alice freaked out because there were things arround...?!). This woman does not understand the concept of renting the house to people that are actually living in it for the rent period. At departure she checked the house and everything was fine. We complained that the water of the jacuzzi became dirty in the 3rd day and we couldn't use it anymore. She said that it is normal with 5 people when making intensive use (twice/day). We asked for the deposit (written in the contract that it should be given back cash at departure). She felt sorry that she didn't have it in cash but she will transfer the money. After arrival home in the Netherlands she wrote an email that she will keep EUR 100 for the jacuzzi because it got dirty due to our children that were walking on bare feet to the jacuzzi. Meaning she was watching us on the camera's!

Dear travelers, i have never felt so unwelcome and left with such a bitter taste.

The house is nice btw but it is nothing worthy with such management.

However, the Jacuzzi was not clean at the beginning, but they deducted 130 euro from our deposit money, accusing us we made the water dirty!
They should have considered changing water every now and then, not charging the customers for that!
Also they deducted money from the deposit, claiming that the remote control was drowned!! Which was not. It was perfectly working in the time of check out!

Our stay in this house was marred by an unfortunate experience after using the jacuzzi. It was not clean at first, but they claimed we made it dirty, leading to an unexpected additional charge for us. It is customary for jacuzzi water to be changed after each guest, regardless of being dirty or not!!

Moreover, they claimed that the remote for the jacuzzi was broken, while we had returned it in good condition. We paid 130 euros extra because of these problems!!

We had an amazing time at Onsen Place! Alice and Eric were great hosts, gave us a warm welcome and nice Belgian chocolates! The house had everything we needed for a super comfortable stay, it was extremely clean and welcoming, the jacuzzi was a highlight as well, we had a blast this weekend, and would love to come back!

While we had paid 100 euro for cleaning beforehand, they deducted another 130 euro from the deposit, claiming the color of the water in the jacuzzi has changed!!!
No matter what, they have to change the water after each guest. So annoying,
NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the villa in Alphen, Belgium. The villa was not only beautiful but also impeccably clean, making it the best experience I've had so far renting a place. Every piece of equipment in the villa (Onsen) was top-notch, adding to the comfort and convenience of the stay. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home.

The serene and peaceful atmosphere of the villa allowed us to truly unwind and find inner peace. It's truly a hidden gem in Belgium, and the host's hospitality added an extra layer of warmth to the experience. The thoughtful touch of welcoming us with delicious Belgian chocolate and fine wine was a delightful surprise that added to the overall charm of the stay.

If you're looking for a tranquil getaway in Belgium with exceptional hospitality, this Airbnb in Alphen is an absolute must-visit. It's an experience that's hard to put into words but one that I'll cherish for a long time.
